Read the article on page 129. Then look up one of the following online radio networks - Pandora , Spotify, MOG oriHeartRadio. In at least 80 words, briefly discuss present state of radio programming and where do you think the future of radio is headed?
The present state of radio programming is largely seen as pandora radio. Pandora is one of many internet radio used and is the main one. It is largely used because it is free. I think the future of pandora is headed in the right direction. Although most radio listeners are in the car, I think pandora will make it longer than any other internet radio programming.
ReplyDeleteRadio is currently in a state of change. Going from the traditional radio format and transferring online. The future of radio is in online radio, as the old version is getting outdated. With new radio features such as making your own station, skipping songs, and listening without ads. It is easy so see why radio has to make the transition to online. This is bad for people in the radio industry because it could cause job loss, but pandora and other companies have too much going for them for traditionalr audio stations to compete with.
ReplyDeleteRadio programming is different in areas. Online such as pandora you can search your own artist. Also you can listen to the genre you would like. You may not always get the song you prefere but will get similar songs. In your vehicle you can choose what station and genre you want to listen to but you don't know what song your gonna hear. Also you may tune into A commercial. I think the future radio is going to decrease in a way. I think this because people are just downloading music they will most likely want to listen to and just listen to their phone or iPod in the car or at home instead of the radio.
ReplyDeleteI think pandora is a good way to listen to music because you can cases it everywhere from a phone to a computer. I think most people will keep using pandora because it is used so much from people at work and school
ReplyDeleteThe radio is everywhere. It's a part of all of our everyday lives and affects it in some way. It is in the stores we shop in, our cars, our homes, and even our cell phones. So It's obvious that radio isn't going anywhere but that doesn't mean that its not changing everyday. I believe that the future of radio is held by options like Pandora and XM. AM and FM radio is still very much alive these days but i believe that in a matter of time everything will be internet radio or serious or XM, they are being replaced in cars and homes all over the country even today.
